1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the MY VECTR websites, applications, and related services that link to it (the “Service”). “MY VECTR,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service. It does not govern a third party's own services or privacy practices, even when those services connect to MY VECTR.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account and profile information, such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, preferences, and household role.
- Household and financial information you provide, including entities, ownership interests, assets, liabilities, holdings, insurance, documents, transaction classifications, and planning information.
- Connected-account information, including institution and account identifiers, account names and types, balances, transaction history, connection status, and synchronization records.
- Information shared by other authorized users, such as household members, administrators, or advisors who have permission to contribute to or view a household.
- Device and usage information, such as browser and device type, IP address, timestamps, pages or features used, diagnostic events, and security logs.
- Communications, including support requests, feedback, and other messages you send us.
Please do not enter bank credentials, private cryptocurrency keys, seed phrases, or other authentication secrets directly into MY VECTR.
3. Connected financial accounts and Plaid
When you choose to connect a financial institution, MY VECTR uses Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to establish the connection. Your institution credentials are entered into Plaid Link or your institution's own authorization page; MY VECTR does not receive or store those credentials. With your permission, Plaid provides MY VECTR with information from the accounts you select, which may include account identity details, balances, and transaction history.
Plaid processes information under its own End User Privacy Policy. You can disconnect an institution in MY VECTR to stop future synchronization. Disconnecting does not necessarily delete information previously imported into MY VECTR or information retained by Plaid under its policies or legal obligations.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, personalize, and improve the Service;
- organize and display household financial information, calculate summaries, and generate user-requested reports or insights;
- connect and synchronize authorized data sources;
- manage household roles and user-authorized advisor access;
- authenticate users, protect accounts, prevent fraud or misuse, troubleshoot errors, and maintain audit records;
- communicate about the Service, support requests, security, and material policy changes; and
- comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish or defend legal claims.
We do not use bank-account credentials because MY VECTR does not receive them. We do not sell personal information for money or use financial-account data for third-party behavioral advertising.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose information:
- At your direction, including to household members, administrators, and advisors you authorize, subject to their assigned permissions.
- To service providers, such as providers of account connectivity, cloud hosting, databases, authentication, monitoring, analytics, communications, and support, only as needed to provide services to us.
- For legal and safety purposes, when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or respond to lawful process.
- In a business transaction, as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
- In aggregated or de-identified form, where the information cannot reasonably identify you.
Advisors and other invited users are separate individuals or organizations whose independent handling of information may be governed by their own legal and professional obligations.
6. Retention
We retain information while your account or household is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and context. After a valid deletion request, we delete or de-identify information unless continued retention is reasonably necessary for one of these purposes. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encryption for supported sensitive connection secrets. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; or withdraw consent. You may also update information within the Service, manage household or advisor permissions, disconnect linked institutions, and close your account. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing completed before withdrawal.
To make a privacy request, use the support or contact channel provided with your account. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. You may appeal a denied request by responding through the same channel.
9. Cookies and analytics
The Service may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, preferences, Plaid connection continuity, and basic product analytics. Browser controls may limit some technologies, but blocking essential storage can prevent parts of the Service from working.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a child-owned account. If you believe a child has provided information in violation of this policy, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Questions and privacy requests may be submitted through the support or contact channel provided in the Service or through the organization that provided your MY VECTR account.
