1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using MY VECTR websites, applications, or related services that link to these Terms (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization, trust, household, or other person, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms and manage the relevant information on their behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms. You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and devices, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. We may require identity, authority, or account verification.
3. What MY VECTR provides
MY VECTR is software for organizing, viewing, and reporting financial and household information from user entries and connected data sources. Features may include account aggregation, transaction classification, portfolio and balance-sheet views, document organization, planning tools, and controlled sharing with household members or advisors.
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in a separate written agreement, MY VECTR is not a bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, financial planner, custodian, accounting firm, law firm, insurer, lender, money transmitter, or tax preparer. The Service does not execute transactions, hold funds or securities, or provide individualized investment, legal, tax, accounting, or insurance advice. Information and automated insights are for organization and informational purposes only and are not a recommendation or guarantee of any outcome.
4. Financial data and connected services
You may direct the Service to connect to third-party institutions or data providers, including Plaid. By initiating a connection, you authorize MY VECTR and the applicable provider to access, receive, use, and refresh data from the accounts you select for the purposes described at the time of connection and in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you are authorized to access and connect those accounts.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Plaid's handling of information is described in its End User Privacy Policy. We do not control third-party availability, authentication, data quality, or changes. You may disconnect an institution to stop future updates, but previously imported information may remain as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Accuracy and professional judgment
Financial information may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, categorized incorrectly, or otherwise inaccurate because of user entries, provider data, market changes, or technical limitations. You must independently verify information before making financial, investment, tax, legal, insurance, credit, or estate-planning decisions. Consult appropriately licensed professionals regarding your circumstances. You remain responsible for your decisions and filings.
6. Household and advisor access
Owners and authorized administrators may invite users, assign roles, approve advisor access, and change or revoke permissions. Those actions may allow other people to view or modify sensitive household information. You are responsible for granting access only to appropriate people and reviewing permissions regularly. Advisors and other professionals are not our employees or agents merely because they access the Service.
7. Your content and permissions
You retain your rights in information and materials you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, limited license to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use Your Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service; comply with law; and enforce these Terms. You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to provide Your Content and authorize this processing.
8. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to violate another person's rights;
- access or attempt to access accounts, households, systems, or data without authorization;
- upload malware, disrupt the Service, bypass security measures, or probe for vulnerabilities without written permission;
- scrape, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or create a competing service from the Service except where applicable law expressly permits;
- submit information you are not authorized to use or disclose; or
- use automated means in a way that burdens or interferes with the Service.
9. Ownership
The Service, including its software, design, interfaces, branding, documentation, and content other than Your Content and third-party content, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
10. Availability, changes, and beta features
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may impose reasonable limits to protect the Service. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Preview, beta, Sandbox, demonstration, or fictional-data features are provided for evaluation, may change without notice, and must not be relied upon for production decisions.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, address nonpayment, comply with law, or respond to a material violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Data handling after termination is governed by our Privacy Policy and any separate written agreement that applies to your account.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, security, or availability of user-provided or third-party financial data, or that the Service will meet every legal, regulatory, accounting, investment, or reporting requirement. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MY VECTR and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, opportunities, goodwill, data, or use, arising from or related to the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$100. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
14. General terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the Service unless a separate written agreement applies. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Service. Headings are for convenience only.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post updated Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. Questions may be submitted through the support or contact channel provided in the Service or through the organization that provided your MY VECTR account.
